Brooklyn's first Christmas was very exciting! We always go to my parents' house and the WHOLE family shows up - my parents, Chad & his then girlfriend/now fiancee, Melissa, Josh, Zach & Anna, Michael, Jeremiah, Rachel and us! The opening of presents is a wonderfully chaotic event where we all pick our stations, distribute gifts and open presents in a blur of exlamations, jubilation, enthusiastic thank you's and hugs...it is a flurry of paper and boxes and general mayhem..of the best kind. Afterwards, three families come over and share Christmas dinner with us and we all relax and enjoy the time together. It's my favorite time of the year!
Brooklyn took it all in stride - adapting easily to the chaos and noise and adding her own special squeals of delight. It was lovely!
