Brooklyn loves to pat August on the head. And when her hands reach for him, I usually caution her to pat him softly or gently. After hearing this over and over, she has begun to associate patting August with the word "soft". Or, as she says it "Soff". "Momma, I wanna soff him." Which means...pat him gently. I love it. This is one of those phrases that I will be sad to see her grow out of.
